Do I need to get 3 estimates?
It is a common notion that you are required to get more than one estimate when seeking repair work. This is not the case. You are free to choose any reputable repair provider you wish. It is our job to provide you with an estimate on damages that we visably see. We do not assume that any underneath or hidden parts need to be repaired or replaced. With today's complex vehicles, it is not uncommon for there to be hidden damage. That's why most vehicles are repaired on an open contract between the repair facility and the insurance company. We work closely with your insurance company to repair your vehicle back to pre-accident condition, while making certain YOU are satisfied with the work that is done!
Do I have to use a Shop Recommended by the Insurance Company?
No, You should not feel like you have to use a shop recommended by an insurance company
. You should feel comfortable with the choice of repair shops, it is your vehicle NOT THE INSURANCE companies. An insuraer pressuring you uinto going to one of there shops is illegal. We want you to know that we will work with any insurance company on your behalf to make sure your vehicle gets the proper repairs and that everything is done correctly
What are LKQ (Used) or A/M (non-OEM) parts? Should I allow them to be put on my vehicle?
Our commitment to honesty and integrity means we keep you completely informed about the process of repairing your vehicle. Although we would prefer to use OEM (new original equipment ) parts, your insurance policy may require the use of A/M (aftermarket/non-OEM) or LKQ (Like kind and quality /used) parts. And, if the after market parts are not up to our quality specifications, we simply won't use them. Given the complex nature of today's insurance policies, the generic parts issue is between you and the insurance carrier.
Will my paint Match?
Wolbert Auto Body currently uses PPG auto refinishing technology. Our Senior painter has been with us almost 30 years and has a keen sence for color match. To ensure the closest possible match, we mix our own paint on site and blend into the adjacent panels..
How long will it take to fix my vehicle?
We make every effort to make sure your damaged vehicle is repaired quickly, but how long is determined by the severity of damage. It also depends on the type of vehicle and availability of parts. Naturally, the more common the car, the more likely the parts will be readily available. Because today's vehicles are more complex than ever, not all damaged parts can always be seen and therefore, not ordered before the vehicle arrives for repair. If your vehicle is a current year model, in some cases the repair parts have not been made it to the supply chain for distribution. The truth is, no matter what any body shop tells you, we can only offer our educated opinion as to when the vehicle will be completed. We may not always tell you what you want to hear, but at Auto Collision Works, it has never been our policy to over promise and under deliver!
To whom and when do I have to pay my deductible?
Your deductible is paid to the repair facility at time of pick up. To make it more convenient for our customers,Wolbert Auto Body accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash & personal checks.
What is direct repair?
Many insurance companies name a Direct Repair Provider to handle their customer's collision repair and initial claims processing. This means that your insurance company may suggest you use a certain repair facility. This method can eliminate the hassle of you gathering your own estimates and the repair process is streamlined. Auto Collision Works is a Direct Repair facility for a variety of different insurance companies and can process your claim on the spot. However, Auto Collision Works wants you to understand that, as a consumer, this in no way impedes your freedom of choice. As much as repair facilities and insurance companies would like you to believe that you must do business with whom they suggest, it is still your option to choose the reputable facility of your choice. Auto Collision Works written warranty assures you of an honest price and superior workmanship. Body shops earn the right to be in preferred shop programs by meeting certain requirements. These include having certified technicians, using the proper equipment, and most importantly, having a record of satisfied customers. A preferred shop actually writes the estimate, orders the parts, and repairs your vehicle without having to wait for an insurance adjuster. Insurance companies constantly monitor their preferred shops to ensure quality repairs.
Where do I get a claim number?
Claim numbers are issued by your insurance company at the time you report your accident. Just jot it down and bring it in with you when you come in to begin the repair process, Wolbert Auto Body will do the rest.
Will the parts be ordered before I drop off my vehicle for repair?
Yes. That is why we ask(as long as the vehicle is driveable) for you to stop by for an estimate before we schedule your repairs. Haveing the parts here at the shop enables us to provide a quicker turnaround time inturn getting you back into your repaired vehicle as quickly as possible.
If my vehicle's frame is damaged is it a total loss?
No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds between 80%-90% of the insurance companies determined value of your vehicle. Currently,vehicles are built using unibody (frame and body as one) construction. Our highly skilled technicians, with the aid of our state-of the-art measuring system , can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications. If it is determined that the frame section is bent beyond repair, that section can simply be replaced.
Can I get other service work done on my vehicle while it is in the body shop?
Yes. Just let your advisor know what other work you would like done so that he can make the necessary arrangements. Do realize that if it would require additional days of rental car use the owner would be responsiale for the additional day. The insurance company will only cover rental coverage for the days your car is being repaired under the insurance claim.
Can I get a ride home when I drop off my car?
Wolbert's does offer a local shuttle at time of vehicle drop off or pick up.
How can I get a rental car?
First you will need to check with the insurance company to see if you have rental coverage. If you do ask if they have direct billing setup with the rental car company. Once you have an appointment at the shop call one of the following companies to reserve a rental car.

If you let the rental company know the day and time you will dropping off your vehicle they will pick you up at our shop. You can also return the rental to the shop when your vehicle is ready for pick up.
How will I know when my car is done?
You will be notified by phone when your vehicle is ready to be picked up. Feel free to call or stop by at any time during the repair process if you have questions or concerns

What forms of payment do you accept?
You do not need to deposit the insurance company check. That can be signed over to shop at time of pickup. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks and cash.
What is betterment?
Parts that wear out and need replacement with time and use (i.e., tires, batteries, and suspension parts) are commonly subject to betterment charges when they are replaced during the repair process. These betterment charges are determined by your insurance company and are pro-rated based on actual miles on your vehicle. If you have any questions about betterment charges contactr the insurance company.
Can I wash my car?

DO'S • Wash the vehicle by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge. • Always use clean fresh water. • Wash your vehicle in the shade
DONT'S • Do not use a commercial car wash. Stiff brushes or sponges could scratch the finish and damage the surface. • Do not "dry wipe" your vehicle. Dry wiping can scratch the finish. • Avoid parking under trees and utility lines. Bird droppings and tree sap have a high acid content and will damage a freshly painted surface. •
RECOMMENDATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS
DON'T • Do not wax or polish the vehicle. This will allow the finish to dry and harden completely.
